  • Processing plants, bromide storage facilities, resin processing plants, food manufacturing, paint manufacturing, spray booths and tint mixing rooms, and dangerous goods storage.

Explosive Atmospheres Competencies

Our inspectors are fully compliant to AS/NZS 4761, AS/NZS 60079 & the Electrical (Safety) Regulations 2010 and can assist with your compliance requirements in explosive atmospheres.

  • PERIODIC ASSESSMENTS

Our team regularly conducts periodic assessments ensuring compliance and safety for our customers.

The Electricity (Safety) Regulations 2010 Regulation 75 requires all electrical equipment in hazardous areas to be periodically assessed as per AS/NZS 60079.17:2009 by a person who is authorised to assess and has current Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) competencies.

  • AREA CLASSIFICATION

Is your hazardous area classification compliant and up to date?

Recent inspections have found a Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU) relying on hazardous substance site plans as their classification. This document has been derived from generic examples in AS/NZS 60079.10.1:2009 and does not include required information such as zone, gas/dust group, temperature class/value, minimum ignition energy.

Without a compliant hazardous area classification, incorrect equipment can potentially be selected and used within the hazardous area, leaving the operator exposed to risk of incident. Our inspections ensure your hazardous area is correctly classified.
